Rita Renee Parma
Dr. Rita Parma is an Assistant Professor and a graduate of UT Health Science Center School of Dentistry in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry since 1991. She is currently the Director of Supplemental Education and Assistant Course Director of the Sophomore Preclinical Operative Dentistry Lab. She also serves as a representative for a group practice in the clinic. She has been appointed as a Champion for Evidence-Based Dentistry for the American Dental Association and serves on the American Dental Education Associations' Commission on Change and Innovation.
Dr. Parma is a reviewer for the Journal of Operative Dentistry as well as the Journal of Dental Education. She is active as a sponsor for the American Association for Women Dentists and serves on the Steering Committee for the Student Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry. Other teaching responsibilities include involvement in Dental Early Admissions Program (DEAP), International Dentist Education Program (IDEP), and Critically Appraised Topics Program (CATs).
